Learn Geography the Fun Way!
Travel is my favorite way to learn geography. If you can’t visit our 50 states in person, then God Bless the USA Exploring States & Territories is the Next Best Thing! We explore each state as if we are on a trip exploring the exciting spots.
God Bless the USA State Stamps & Coins was created to go along with God Bless the USA Exploring States & Territories, but you can use it with any study of the 50 states to learn more about state flags and seals.
These printables work with any study of the United States that includes state stamps and/or state quarters. Or you may want to add stamps and quarters to your USA states curriculum.
God Bless the USA State Stamps & Coins is divided into six sections:
State Stamps
The section on flags opens up with an easy-to-understand explanation of stamps and why the US Postal Service issued a stamp for each state and territory. From there, the book is divided up into the following sections: Southern states, Mid-Atlantic states, New England states, Southwest states, Western states, Pacific states, and Territories.
Matching state names to their stamps is easy and fun for children and even teens. It gets students familiar with all the stamps. If you are memorizing state stamps, then these printable pages can be used over and over to help with the memorization process.
Each page is a separate worksheet with the state names numbered starting with 1.
There are little boxes next to the stamp. Students put the number of the state in the little box.
You will notice that all the state stamps have the state name on them, so you can black it out if you wish (for memorization) or you can leave it like I do because my goal is for them to become familiar with state stamps and coins. Those pictures and symbols chosen have special meaning that helps children learn more about the state.
After the state-quarter matching page or pages in each regional section, there are pages to explore each state stamp with questions to help students think about the symbols and pictures and why they were chosen.
State Coins
The section on state coins opens up with an easy-to-understand explanation of the US Mint’s special state quarters. From there, the book is divided up into the following sections: Southern states, Mid-Atlantic states, New England states, Southwest states, Western states, Pacific states, and Territories.

State Stamp/Coin/Map Games
There are three different kinds of games you can play with your children: two memory games and a card game.
Three cards are given for each state: flag, seal, map. You can print them on cardstock and laminate them to help them last longer.
Directions are given for each game.
Discussion questions are included to learn more about the states themselves from studying the flags and seals.
Make a Family Stamp
Children can create their own family stamp alone or with other family members.
Answer Keys
The last two sections are answer keys for the state stamp printables and the state coin printables.
