Since 1678, Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan has delighted readers. This allegory of the Christian life is timeline – folks in every generation can related to Christian’s journey from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City along the King’s Highway.
What a creative idea! I thought as I started reading Blue Skies West by Mattie Richardson from Appaloosy Books. Blue, the horse narrates the book for us so that we see life along the Oregon Trail through a horse’s perspective. Very cool!
Otter B Free from Focus on the Family is the 9th book in a series created to impart values to young children. I received this adorable hardcover book in good condition and couldn’t wait to read it to my grandchildren.

Islands and Enemies by Mariann Hering from Tyndale gives children likeable characters to cheer on and an adventure to keep them on the edge of their seat for the entire book.
Reviewing Building Thinking Skills Level 1 from The Critical Thinking Co. with my grandson brought back sweet memories of long ago. My daughter Julianna and son Jimmy loved Building Thinking Skills back in the day. Yes, it’s updated and more fun, but the same educational quality I’ve always appreciated.
