Before I started homeschooling, I read several books but none of them mentioned the shocking fruit of homeschooling: piles of papers, thousands of books, art supplies, completed projects with no place to live, and mess everywhere. Even having a homeschool room didn’t seem to help me get everything organized.
People often ask how we do chores in our family. This article is just me writing down all the questions I usually am asked and all the answers I usually give. How we do things is not the “RIGHT” way, it’s simply what works for us.
And speaking of fun, hard work can be fun if everyone is lighthearted and kind to one another while they work.
Attention Moms! This is our window. If we let our children help when they are little lambs and praise their efforts, we are on track to having big helpers one day.

To keep clutter at bay requires organization and tidying up on a regular basis. These two things are very different from cleaning. Yes, cleaning is important, but it will not control clutter.
