Reviewing Building Thinking Skills Level 1 from The Critical Thinking Co. with my grandson brought back sweet memories of long ago. My daughter Julianna and son Jimmy loved Building Thinking Skills back in the day. Yes, it’s updated and more fun, but the same educational quality I’ve always appreciated.
Each book in the I See Colors series is filled with cheerfully bright and beautiful photographs and simple text to introduce children to each color. Children will discover black shoes, blue doors, yellow cars, red cars, purple grapes, white churches, and green frogs in a delightful exploration of colors in the world all around us.
One of my favorite things about Alaska is the igloo, or house of ice that Native Americans made to keep warm when they were on long hunts across the ice and snow. It’s hard for me to imagine keeping warm inside a house made of ice bricks, but it worked!

Creation Week in Genesis 1-2 is the history of how the world began! It’s also a fun time in history to study with children. They love to learn how God created the stars, the animals, the waters, the sun, and people! It is so exciting that God spoke and it was created! Wow!
One thing that I love is watching animals enjoy life in their natural habitats or close-to-natural habitat. If you can’t visit the zoo, you can virtually visit animals online.
